Holes Chapter Chat activities

This term our class participated again in Chapter Chat, a twitter-book chat. This term we read ‘Holes’ by Louis Sachar. The book was about how a boy called Stanley Yelnats went to Camp Green Lake for apparently stealing the shoes of Clyde Livingston, the famous baseball player. The camp is for bad boys. At Camp Green Lake you have to dig holes for 18 months every day and it has to be 5 feet wide and five feet deep. But Stanley runs away and has to survive in the harsh 50 degree temperature  

Each fortnight we completed various activities and answered questions based on what we had read. We then shared our activities and answers on Twitter with Room 20.

Here are two activities that I have completed on the book Holes.

My first activity is a survival shoe. The shoe was made on Google Drawings and I uploaded images of what I wanted to be on the activity. The shoe has spikes so that you can climb up rock faces.

The second activity is a wanted poster for Kate Barlow. I did this one with Max and we also made it on Google Drawing. My favourite bit of it is the face that Max made.
